Scotland

Or more specifically, The Scottish Highlands.

No matter what type of Photographer you speak to, The Scottish Highlands are famous when it comes to Photography, no matter what form that is. From epic landscapes, to magical forests, theres quite literally something for everyone. Most locations are fairly accessible, and I need no reason to book a trip to Scotland.

I like to try and say that I'll be in Scotland at least once a year, but life does sometimes get in the way. I absolutely adore Scotland for all times of the year, no matter the season, it's perfect always (totally not biased hey!)

Loch arkaig

FORT WILLIAM

A stunning, quiet loch near Fort William. Rather limited in terms of lake pictures, though if you're looking for that one beautiful piece of wall art, and your idea of that is your dog stood in a lake a golden hour, with the sun peeking from behind the mountains... look no further. The perfect setting for golden hour lake pictures.

Very accessible, the lake is just off from the very quiet single track road. The footing may be hard for some pets on the lake shore.

GLENMORE FOREST

CAIRNGORMS

Just another utterly drawdropping location, it's genuinely incredible how much the Highlands have to offer. From magical soft lighting forests, to glistening lochs, this is another location that has it all.

This location requires a bit of walking, but it is all very accessible and easy footing. It can get busy, though it is another place that you can easily make some space.

CORAL BEACH

ISLE OF SKYE

A truly magical beach near the North of Skye, a committment but totally worth it for absolutely stunning beach photos. The beach itself is made from crushed white coral. Absolutely stunning at golden hour.

It is a fairly open location and can have livestock on route and nearby. To the beach is around a 20 minute easy walk. It's worth considering these factors, but otherwise it is a fairly quiet location.

GLENCOE

This iconic location needs absolutely no introduction, and I think any way I try to describe this epic landscape simply won't do it justice. From beautitul brown tones, golden hour, the epic mountains in the background, the lakes dotted around, particular hills where you can shoot downwards at the landscape... theres so much potential and something for everyone.

No matter where you go, it's usually easy to get away from others. Super easily accessible, locations just a 30 second walk from the parking. An absolute dream in any weather; whether that be in the mist or at golden hour.
