A bit about my journey, 

Milo, was my first dog. I’d already been taking pictures on amateur basis of him for a while. In my recent years, I’ve learnt that he’s great if you don’t hang around for too long waiting for that ‘perfect’ shot. He’s a good teacher - as most dogs benefit from super short goes in front of the camera! 

In June 2021, Milo, suddenly became paralysed. He never recovered, and has continued to live his life fully, for the past 2 years in a set of wheels made specially for him. It was the first time I really understood loss - sure, he’s still with me. There’s a sense of loss though - his front legs have never been the best, and I know my time with him is so much more limited than it could have been. 

But I’m SO glad, I have all of those pictures of before, because there was a time where they might have been the last ones I had of him. 

So, my message to everyone with pets: book that photoshoot. Get those pictures, because our pets lives are too short as it is, but you never know if they’re going to be cut shorter. 

Through Milo’s journey, and my own, I’ve strived to become the best Photographer I can be. I hope that I never stop improving!
